Freehold Twp. HS, boys 4x400 Relay Team, continues their incredible, undefeated, season by capturing the New
Jersey State High School Group IV Championship title.
After taking first place honors at:
- the Meli Relays,
- the Burns Invitational,
- the Colts Neck Invitationals,
- the "A" North Conference Championships,
- the Monmouth County Relays,
- the NJSIAA State Relays
- the Shore Conference Championships
- and the NJSIAA State Sectionals,
this year's FTHS Patriot 4x400m relay team now has the distinctive honor as being crowned NJSIAA State Group IV Champions.
On Saturday, 2/21/09, they will once again try to acheive their ultimate goal of becoming "New
Jersey State Champions" at the NJSIAA Meet Of Champions, in the Toms River indoor track facilities.

School Records Shattered...
Week after week, the relay team not only continues to win but they seem to be getting quicker
and quicker. Since January, the team has broken old school records and continues to set new ones. On 1/25/2009 at the
Shore Conference Championships, the team broke the existing FTHS school relay record with a time of 3:28.89 for the 4x400m
relay. At the NJSIAA Group Chamionships on February 15th, 2009, the team surpassed their old record time by 3
seconds and set a new school record of 3:25.63 . One week later ,on february 21st,
they broke that record at the Meet of Champions running a team personal best and new FTHS record of 3:23.81.
2008-2009 FTHS Boys Varsity Track & Field Team
Started the winter season exactly where they left off from last spring. They opened the
winter track meet season with impressive wins in their first three meets.
